Maseru, Aug. 20 — Women entrepreneurs have been urged to formally register their businesses and maintain proper financial records to enhance their growth and sustainability.
Making the call during the Revenue Service Lesotho (RSL) Women in Business commemoration held in Maseru on Thursday, entrepreneur Mrs. ‘Marethabile Sekhiba said that business registration and proper bookkeeping are essential for women seeking to grow their enterprises.
Mrs. Sekhiba encouraged women to ensure that their businesses are properly registered saying formalisation can help create opportunities for business expansion and access to various services and support.
She further stressed the importance of proper bookkeeping noting that accurate financial records enable business owners to understand their income and expenditure and make informed decisions.
The event, organised by RSL was aimed at celebrating women making an impact in the entrepreneurship sector while empowering them to grow their businesses and contribute to economic development and job creation.
