Maseru, Aug.30—-The Batswana are ready to welcome Basotho together with the National Revival Torch known as ‘Lebone la Tsosoloso’ in Botswana from October 09 -12 2025.
This was revealed by Dr. Monaheng Mahlatsi, a member of Project Re in an interview with the Agency during a visit by Chief of Basotho in Botswana Chief Paul Letshikoana, Barolong Chief in Botswana, Kgosi-kgolo Lotlamoreng II and the Botswana Government representative Councillor Kgotlaetsile Makgetha in Lesotho.
The National Revival Torch is scheduled to visit Botswana in October where Basotho are found, with a main reception ceremony scheduled to take place on October 10 2025 at Tlhareseleele Village of Basotho in the Good Hope district of Tshidi-Barolong of Botswana.
Dr. Mahlatsi stated that the Botswana delegation has expressed excitement for the event. He added that they are also excited that there are Barolong in Lesotho and Basotho in Botswana. He pointed out that the relations between the Basotho and Batswana which were built when the Barolong welcomed Basotho from Likhoele in Mafeteng after the Lifaqane War, must be sustained… SM/BM
