BNP LEADER CLAIMS THREATS FROM SOU

Maseru, Oct 19 — Basotho National Party (BNP) Leader Mr. Machesetsa Mofomobe told the National Assembly that members of the Special Operations Unit (SOU) were seen near his home at Lesia in Maseru on Wednesday night.

He described the situation as a continuation of threats by the security agencies in the country following the motion of no confidence to the Government and Prime Minister, which he filed in the National Assembly on Monday.

Mr. Machesetsa said it was not good for the Government to misuse the security agencies, saying his six-year-old daughter saw what happened and was scared.

He said the misuse of the security agencies against the opposition leaders was not good in the eyes of investors.
