Maseru, July 21 — As part of efforts to plan and prepare for the national Census in 2026, the Bureau of Statistics (BoS) is currently doing Cartography exercise.
Speaking in an interview, BoS Chief Statistician Mr. Ts’iu Lits’iba said the exercise is part of the pre-enumeration stage and it is the main one as it covers all stages of the Census.
He said this study which started on June 02 will end on November 30 saying it is conducted in all the 10 districts of the country.
He elaborated that among the activities they are doing under cartography include Enumeration Area Demarcation (EAD) within the 80 constituencies with manageable sizes which can be covered in a period of two weeks. He said, depending on the size of the constituency, EADs range from 60 to 120.
