DIALOGUE ALIGNS WITH MOSHOESHOE I VALUES – PROFESSOR MOTS’OENE

Maseru, July 13 — Professor ‘Matholoana Keneuoe Motsóene of the National University of Lesotho (NUL) under Moshoeshoe I Institute of Peace and Leadership (MIPL) says, Lesotho is doing well in aligning with leadership values showcased by Morena Moshoeshoe I.

Speaking with the Agency beyond the recently held accountability and leadership dialogue, the Professor pointed that  one such forum is vital in promoting leadership as well as strengthening the work of the institute.

She added that core values of the institute  include enhancing leadership as one of the attributes of servant leadership portrayed by the late father of the nation, hence are thrilled as the institute when dialogues of this nature take place.

She stipulated that effective leadership allows to be interrogated, corrected and takes mandate from fellow citizens, saying this is a notable achievement prior to Lesotho’s independence.

Going forward, professor Mots’oene also urged those in leadership to dialogue with those they are serving for smooth service delivery.

She appealed to various sectors of the society to recognise the role the institute is playing in terms of uniting the nation, instilling the love  for Morena Moshoeshoe l so that in all efforts geared towards developing Lesotho and Basotho, there is alignment to principles of the founder of Basotho.

The MIPL is named after Morena Moshoeshoe I with the aim to promote attributes of servant leadership, empathy, peace, patriotism and unity with the mission to nurture and in.
