EDUCATE HERDBOYS ABOUT THE IMPORTANCE OF TOURISTS – LETSIE

Mohale’s Hoek, Oct. 13 — Chief of Ha Ndebele, Toka Letsie has on Sunday pleaded with his counterparts to educate herd boys and communities at large about the significance of Tourists in the country.

Chief Letsie noted this in an interview with the Agency after about 20 hikers from Thapoha Hiking Club spend the night in his village on their journey to Thabana-Ntlenyane, acknowledging he has made friends with the team.

He asserted that tourists, if well taken care of, could create jobs for villagers and help develop communities they visit, noting he was overjoyed to finally meet the hikers who had informed him about their arrival prior to the journey.

On the other hand, Thapoha Hiking Club Vice President Mr. Ntai Ntjelo applauded the team for making it to the end despite challenges encountered along the 14 days hiking, like losing mobile phone networks due to the scarcity of towers in other areas, but asserted that the hike has been more successful than the 2023 one.
