EDUCATION DEPARTMENT ON RESULTS ANALYSIS

Mokhotlong, Jan. 29 — The Department of Education and Training has embarked on a series of meetings with Teachers and school board members at different centres in the district.

The District Education Manager (DEM) Mr. Nts’upuoa Lephoto said the objective is to analyse the 2025 examination for both Primary School Leaving Examination (PSLE) or Grade 7 and the Lesotho General Certificate in Secondary Education (LGCSE) written by Grade 11 learners.

He explained that during the results analysis, those taking part in the meeting will identify challenges and find how they can be addressed in an effort to create room for improvement.

Mr. Lephoto further said according to a 10 day plan drawn by the department, the meetings started on Tuesday this week with Primary School Teachers and school boards within the Linakaneng Centre.

He mentioned that Mokhotlong has 10 Centres that include Mabuleng, St. Martins, Mateanong, Mokhotlong, Senqu, Moremoholo, Mapholaneng, Maboloka, Linakaneng and St. James.

DEM stated that after meeting with the primary school teachers, similar meetings with High School Teachers will follow in due course.

Mokhotlong ranked number nine out of the 10 districts of the country in the LGCSE examination results of 2025.

There are 106 Primary Schools and 16 High Schools in the district.
