Qacha’s Nek, June.06 — Melele fail to access the Department of National Identity and Civil Registration (NICR) services indefinitely after the office closed due to absence of staff.
The Agency has learnt on Thursday that the closure follows contracts expiry for 76 temporary staff deployed at NICR Qacha’sNek on May 2024.
The office had already stopped with the production of the Identity Documents (IDs) cards because the Ministry of Local Government, Chieftainship, Home Affairs, and Police lacks the necessary budget for procuring IDs. . .
