Maseru, Sept. 03 — Lesotho will be represented at the 2025 YouthConnekt Africa Summit to be hosted by Madagascar in November, the Minister of Gender, Youth and Social Development has said.
“Lesotho’s delegation made up of youth will be led by the Prime Minister (PM), Mr. Ntsokoane Matekane and the team will represent us at the African conference,” Mr. Pitso Lesaoana added.
According to the Minister, this is one of the government’s efforts meant to reaffirm its commitment in supporting youth as future leaders, particularly entrepreneurs so that they can create jobs and fight unemployment.
He stated that the youth will be drawn from the ‘Sebabatso Initiative,’ encouraging those who will participate to go and connect with investors and other young entrepreneurs across Africa so as to gain more skills and insights in order to expand their horizon.
