Qacha’s Nek, Oct.08 —Libata FC, which finished third in last weekend’s Milo Classic Soccer Tournament has finally received its full jersey set following a brief delay.
The official handover took place on Wednesday at the District Football Association (DiFA) premises.
Speaking at the event, DiFA Public Relations Officer Mr. Ts’iu Makhasane explained that Libata’s kit had been unintentionally left behind when awards were distributed on Sunday at Melele Ground.
He revealed that the delivery delay stemmed from a transport issue, the sponsors’ vehicle, which was towing a trailer, broke down en route. In the process of swapping trailers, the jersey package was mistakenly left behind.
“It was simply missed during the packing process and only discovered missing when we were awarding the teams,” Makhasane said.

Representing the sponsors, Mr. Ts’eliso Bale emphasized that the handover was meant to ensure the team received what it had rightfully earned.
Libata FC Deputy President Mr. Nhlanhla Fofokana expressed gratitude and relief.
“We were discouraged when we didn’t receive our jerseys that day, especially since other teams got theirs immediately. But we’re satisfied now. Our performance was good, and this completes our achievement,” he said. The Milo Classic Soccer Tournament, organized by GivingTuesday Lesotho in collaboration with Milo Music Entertainment, celebrated more than just sport, it united music, impact, and athleticism to raise awareness on Gender-Based Violence (GBV) and other social issues while showcasing youth talent and resilience . . .
