Maseru, June 24 – The lower division teams from A, B and C divisions in the country will benefit from the Lesotho Football Association (LeFA) Assistance Programme in which 4000 soccer balls will be distributed countrywide.
LeFA President Advocate Salemane Phafane announced in a media briefing at Bambatha Tsita Sports Arena on Monday that each team will receive three hard surface soccer balls to be used to the kind of pitches used by these teams plus two teams that will be used for match days.
However, the President said only the teams which have been audited that are registered with the association and have been active throughout the season will benefit from the programme.
He said in the past, they gave soccer balls to all the teams and some of them died a natural death after receiving the balls. . .
