RAMASHAMOLE SPEAKS ON MoU

MASERU — The Principal Secretary (PS), Mr. Kanono Ramashamole says, the Ministry of Information, Communications, Science, Technology and Innovation (MICSTI) is looking forward to implementation of Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between Lesotho and India.

Explaining the insides, of the memorandum between the MICSTI and Ministry of Electronics in India, Mr. Ramashamole said it seeks to amongst others ensure support and attainment in as far digital and related services are concerned.

He explained that the MoU will see implementation in the next current financial year and the next years after signing last year, adding through collaborations with other developed countries, the Ministry will achieve its goals and objectives in line with technological development and advancements.

Meanwhile, he alluded to the recent visit of the High Commissioner of India to Lesotho, Mr. Prabhat Kumar who held meetings with Minister Information to foresee implementation plan of the MoU as a positive step. 

Mr. Ramashamole stated that the need to capacitate youth, especially during the implementation period of dynamics in technologies including attacks is vital.

The interview and the visit comes just after cyber security meeting hosted by Lesotho Communications Authority (LCA) with the Ministry with the intention to strategise and ensure security of users in the cyber space.
