Maseru, Nov. 11 — Makarabo Khanare(40) of Lesia Ha Thetsane in the district of Maseru on Tuesday appeared before Magistrate Nkhethoa Molapo added to an attempted murder case alongside with Thabang Lebata(30) and Mosala Mokhobo(30).
The said accused are charged with contravening the provisions of section 40(1)read with section 22(1) of the penal code Act No.6 of 2010 read with section 109 ( ATTEMPTED MURDER)
As per the charge sheet, the said accused on August 11 2025 at Ha Thetsane, Lesia in the district of Maseru acting in furtherance of a common purpose performed an unlawful act upon Teboho Khanare by suffocating him and hitting him with a gun on the head with the intention of causing his death and did thereby commit the aforesaid offence.
Magistrate Molapo advised the accused about her right to bail and legal representation. He told the accused to apply for bail in the High Court as Magistrate Court is not responsible to grant bail on such a crime.
The accused is remanded in custody and will appear in court on November 25, 2025.
