QUTHING ORGANIZES HOME-GROWN CAMPAIGN 

Quthing, Nov. 14 — In an effort to promote food production in schools, the District Department of Agriculture, Food Security and Nutrition in collaboration with the District Department of Education and Training will host a Home-Grown campaign at Koali primary school in the Koali Agricultural Resource Centre on Thursday next week.

This has been said by Mrs. Mabohlokoa Molefi the District Home Economics Officer from the department of Agriculture, Food Security and Nutrition during district nutrition team meeting held at the District Administrator’s Hall.

Mrs. Molefi stated that preparations are ahead at the resource centre, led by the Nutrition Area Technical Officer in collaboration with teachers from local primary schools and Early Childhood Education care and Development Centres (ECCD.

She said the event will start with a procession from Tongue-Block T-junction along the main road to Mount Moorosi and continue to Sebapala Primary School where participants will tour various  vegetable production techniques that include vegetables produced from climate smart plots.
