Maseru, Oct.11–Despite having lost the court battle in September against removal or demolishing of their stalls, Roma Street Vendors Association is determined to fight by taking the matter to the Court of Appeal.
Association’s Chairperson Mr. Thabiso Mafoso told the Agency on Saturday where he said when Roads Directorate demolished their stalls, they had already filed the Appeal against the judgement which disallowed their application to stop the removal or demolishing of stalls.
He stressed that though most of them now have mobile stalls where they come in the morning to sell and remove in the evening, they intend to fight until the government hears them.
“We now put our umbrellas and tables in the morning and take them home in the evening so that our businesses operations continue, we have families to take care of,” he said.
He highlighted that they have not secured any site to operate from saying they are still working hard to find a decent and big site to accommodate all the vendors…
