Maseru, April. 11 — Senator Sempe Masupha has called the Natural Resources Minister as well as Lesotho Highlands Development Authority officials to be present during discussion on motion 41.
The motion is titled ‘Putting into effect policies which will benefit communities at the Lesotho Highlands Project (LHWP) sites in order for Basotho to acquire more benefits from the ongoing construction’
The debate on this particular motion proposed by Senator Joel Motsóene has been postponed until after Easter Break, the Agency has been established.
According to Senator Masupha, this motion is important in ensuring that a variety of angles surrounding the issue of LHWP are covered with key emphasis on securing the livelihoods of the community living at the project site. AM/TL
