SENQU RIVER TRAGEDY: TWO LIVES LOST AS BOAT SINKS IN QACHA’S NEK 

Qacha’s Nek, Jan.14 – Two lives were tragically lost on Tuesday when a boat carrying residents sank in the Senqu River, following heavy rains on Monday afternoon.

The boat, carrying four passengers (three males and one female) was en route from Tebellong when the incident occurred. 

While the driver and a boy, aged between 13 and 14, managed to survive, they are reportedly too traumatized to recount the harrowing ordeal. 

The female passenger’s body has been recovered, while the fourth passenger is still missing, presumed drowned…
