Maseru, Dec. 19– In a bid to ensure quick and quality services this festive season, the department of traffic will operate from 07:00 a.m to 16:30 p.m starting on Thursday.
This was disclosed by the newly appointed Traffic Commissioner Dr. Khothatso Ts’ooana at the press conference held in Maseru on Thursday.
Dr. Ts’ooana said the decision was reached upon realisation that many people seek traffic services at this time of the year especially in Maseru district thus the intention is to avoid congestion while at the same time providing effective and efficient services.
He said the initiative will end on January 10, 2025, clarifying that finance offices at the department will still close at 15:30 p.m. to allow balancing.
He added that they intend to ensure officers work on shifts during lunch hour although staff is limited to ensure that they don’t cease operations at that time. . .
