TWO TEENAGE BOYS FACES SEXUAL OFFENSE CHARGES IN QACHA’S NEK 

Qacha’s Nek, Feb.21—The Qacha’s Nek Magistrate Court, presided by Senior Magistrate Ts’eliso Bale heard two separate sexual offense cases involving teenage boys in a single day.

A 17-year-old from Hloahloeng and a 14-year-old from Ha Sekake appeared before the court on related charges.

In the first case, the first boy was charged under Section 8 (1) read with 33 (1) of Sexual Offenses Act No.3 of 2003 for allegedly raping a 13-year-old on February 6, 2025.

Probation Officer Mrs ‘Masenepi Matobo presented the assessment report, which showed that he dropped out at grade 7 due to financial constraints.

“He doesn’t take the responsibility of the offense. He says they never met,” she said revealing that he is a first born in the family of two and his mother has since left for South Africa while his mother is not working, after which the court released the accused to the custody of his parents. . .
