UN CONTINUES TO SUPPORT LMPS

Maseru, Sept. 06 — The United Nations country Resident Coordinator has handed over a vehicle to the Lesotho Mounted Police Service in an event held at the police headquarters in Maseru on Wednesday.

While handing over the vehicle, Ms. Amanda Khozi Mukwashi stated that the donation comes in as support to the police in ensuring and assisting them with all the relevant resources as to ensure that they are able to serve the nation and combat the uprising rate of crime that the country is currently faced with.

She said that the UN will continue to support the Police in all aspects such as capacity building or community awareness raising campaigns while also applauding the efforts that the Police is doing across the country.
