Mohale’s Hoek, April. 10 – Officer commanding Mohale’s Hoek Police Station Senior Superintendent Mapesela Klass says officers will work tirelessly to get to bottom of an incident which led to death of one Fusi Mokoma, during the initiation ceremony at Tlaling Ha Setulo on Saturday following Easter Friday.
Snr. Spt. Klass noted this in an interview with the Agency by asserting that when police officers checked the body of the deceased they discovered that he had been beaten, but those who were with him denied knowing anything about the death.
He further pointed out that there is no way an individual could die in the presence of others who claim to have not seen anything.
On the other hand, a Chief in the area, Chief Hlomelang Teane said that he received a report that the deceased got into a fight with one man and stabbed him with a knife, and the man retaliated by hiting the latter with a Stick.
Chief Teane however said he suspects that the deceased may have done someting to provoke whoever hit him, as he was a very troublesome man when he was drunk.
However, he highlighted the significance of waiting for police investigations into the matter.
