Berea, July 09 — The Republic of Zambia Vice President, Dr. Mutale Nalumango has survived a helicopter crash on Thursday while returning from an official duty in Muchinga Province.
According to the press release issued to the media on Thursday, the Vice President was traveling with the Zambian Air Force Helicopter when it crashed shortly after take off at Nakonde.
It further highlights that the Vice President and the crew were safe and well.
It adds that as per standard procedures, all the survivors were taken to a nearby medical facility for a routine check and released in good health.
The government further commended the flight grew and emergency response for displaying professionalism and it also expressed gratitude to Nakonde people for their swift assistance.
In conclusion, the statement reaffirmed that the authorities will establish the circumstances of the incident, and it also indicated that the Vice President will continue with her programme of work.
