Maseru, July 19 – Christian Council of Lesotho (CCL) representatives at the signing of code of conduct event prior to September 29, 2023 Local Government elections have called for peace and stability.
Leading a word of prayer in Maseru today, Catholic Church Bishop John Tlhomola said politicians have a role to maintain peace in the country.
He said it is the responsibility of leaders to comfort, understand and love the society as grace emanates from the trio.
Meanwhile, Reverend Beatrice Motokoa of African Methodist Episcopal Church (AME) read scriptures from Psalms 85:10 -11.
She said in line with the word, mercy and truth are met together; righteousness and peace have kissed each other.
Therefore, she stressed that leaders should lead in truth so that deliverables can be registered for the sake of all Basotho despite their political status.
Other CCL members present are: Reverend Mojaki Kometsi of Lesotho Evangelical Church of Southern Africa (LECSA) as well as Bishop Daniel Rantle of Wesleyan Methodist Church.
