FOREIGN AFFAIRS REFUTES ALLEGATIONS OF KIDNAPPED CHILDREN IN SA

Maseru, Aug. 24 — The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Affairs has refuted circulating allegations on social media platforms of kidnapped and or human trafficked children in Kliprivier area, South Africa. 

In an interview with the Public relations Officer (PRO) Mrs. Teboho Mapetla on Thursday, she said the allegations are not true that there are kidnapped children that included those from different countries Lesotho included.

She has pleaded with the public not to panic as the matter has been dealt with, adding that such allegations are dangerous because they involve a person’s lives.   

The Press Statement issued yesterday, the South Africa Police Service (SAPS) in Sedibeng District has put on record that there is no truth in the voice note circulating on social media platforms about an alleged kidnapping and or human trafficking incident at Kliprivier area.
