AGRICULTURE, CLIMATE STAKEHOLDERS CAPACITATE EXTENSION OFFICERS

Mohale’s Hoek, August.08 — In an effort to spread awareness regarding  the integration of climate change into Agriculture, the Lesotho Meteorological Services along site the Ministry of Defence, National Security and Environment under IACOV project have on Tuesday held a workshop for about 20 extension officers from various Resource Centers.

According to IACOV’s Early Warning Associate who is working  with the Lesotho Meteorological Services, Mr. Kuroane Phakoe, the overview of the project is to assess ways in which weather forecast and Agriculture could be integrated, as weather plays a major role in destroying or enhancing Agriculture, hence training of extension officers.
