CASE FAILS TO PROCEED

Maseru, Jan.24—A case in which nine members of the Lesotho Defence Force (LDF) are accused of killing Brigadier Maaparankoe Mahao, which was scheduled for hearing today, failed to proceed due to unavailability of the presiding judge Justice Charles Hungwe.

The judge sitting on behalf of the presiding judge, Justice Tseliso Mokoko stated that Justice Hungwe is out of the country on a family emergency. He indicated that in his absence the case will not be able to proceed. He thus postponed the matter to Monday next week…
