Qacha’sNek, July 24 — In an effort to foster input in the newly drafted Water Bill and Policy, the Government of Lesotho through the Department of Natural Resources will from July 26 to 27 hold a stakeholders consultative meeting for their scrutiny.
This follows the development of Water Policy draft of 2020 and Water and Sanitation Bill of 2021 intended to ensure accessibility to reliable, safe water and sanitation services to Basotho, a service they have been longing for years.
The draft Bill is said to be ready for presentation to the stakeholders so as to foster their input and buy in for incorporation of their views into the Bill in order to make it a good quality piece of legislation that will strengthen the water sector to address the needs of the nation.
