Maseru, Nov. 10 — The Government of Lesotho through the Ministry of Public Service has launched the Principal Secretaries Induction Workshop that aims to aid their effectiveness in undertaking their responsibilities in the government service delivery.
In his opening Remarks, the Minister of Public Service Mr. Mputi Mputi said as Chief Accounting officers, it is prudent that PS’s familiarize themselves with business of the government, its structure, legislative frameworks, various policies and systems in employs to execute its mandate.
He talked of the Prime Minister’s inaugural speech where he outlined the that it is critical that the government enhance inclusive and sustainable economic growth and private sector-led job creation, strengthen human capital, build and enabling infrastructure, strengthen national governance and accountability systems for improved service delivery, strengthen climate risk management resilience and adaptation and strengthen Public financial management to mention but a few.
