Berea, Jan 24 — In pursuit of government plans to improve accessibility to the remote areas, the construction process of ‘Makhoroana to Lieta 6.3km gravel road has resumed.
The construction process follows the November official introduction of A&C Holdings and WN Letsapo Construction Pty Ltd as the contractors responsible to undertake the construction process.
According to the Roads Directorate Corporate Communications Manager Ms. Nosizolo Mpopo both contractors commenced work earlier this month and they are currently busy with site or work camp establishment.
Ms. Mpopo said among other preparatory activities they are focused on grubbing the road to make it moveable.
She pointed out that the construction process of such a road is expected to be undertaken in two segments whereby the first contractor being A&C Holdings will take it from Makhoroana to Tsipa, while the second contractor is expected to move from Tsipa to Ha-Lieta. . .
