WORLD VISION DISCUSSES POLICE POST ESTABLISHMENT

Mokhotlong Feb. 07 — World Vision Lesotho met with relevant stakeholders to discuss issues related to supporting the establishment of a police satellite at Tlhanyaku in the district.

Chaired by the District Administrator, the meeting took place in the district on Wednesday.

Briefing the meeting attendants, the Citizen Voices Addressing Violence Against Children (CVAVAC) Project Coordinator Mr. Sello Mahloane from World Vision Lesotho said the issue of assisting with a police post at Tlhanyaku has been prompted by the challenges that were raised by members of the community adding that if the support is taken into consideration by the Lesotho Mounted Police Service, it will be implemented under the CVAVAC project.

CVAVAC is a three year project funded by the European Union in Lesotho to empower communities about their rights, advocate for legislative reform, and create child friendly environments in the courts of Lesotho.
