MELELE APPLAUDS AGRIC MINISTRY 

Qacha’s Nek, Feb.13 — Melele fruits and vegetables farmers along with customers have commended the Ministry of Agriculture, Food Security and Nutrition (MAFSN)’s move to temporarily ban importation of tomatoes and apples.

Agriculture Minister Thabo Mofosi announced the suspension of these products from yesterday due to a high local production.

In an interview with the Agency, Mr. Kananelo Mokhele Apples farmer of Mats’elabeli who has 1200 trees said it is a “very good” step as it gives them access to the market.

For the longest time he said he struggled to quickly sell without wasting. . .
