Maseru, Aug.18 — Lesotho’s Prime Minister Mr. Samuel Matekane will be among the prominent business leaders in the region expected to attend the 15th BRICS Summit.
This was confirmed by the Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Relations Mr. Lejone Mpotjoane in a brief interview on Friday.
He said that they have decided as the cabinet that the Prime Minister be part of expected dignitaries.
On the other hand about 20 dignitaries including the United Nations (UN) Secretary General Antonio Guterres, the African Union (AU) Commission Moussa Faki Mahamat, Chairperson and the President of BRICS’ new Development Bank will also attend the summit.
The summit which is the first in-person meeting of the group since the coronavirus pandemic will be held in South Africa from August 22 to 24.
