Maseru, Dec. 04 — Minister of Information, Communications, Science, Technology and Innovation (MICSTI), Ms. Nthati Moorosi officiated a one day high level meeting on cyber security held in Maseru on Wednesday.
The meeting whose agenda is on education, protecting the rights of people in the digital space and above all deliberating towards fast tracking cyber security bill currently before Parliament committees is attended by various stakeholders.
According to the Minister, the law is long overdue, adding through this meeting, an open dialogue is vital and encouraged in a bid to meet the demand in today’s dynamic world of technology.
She stipulated that while the government seeks to move forward in the digital economy and above all deliberating to fast track availability of the law, Lesotho must also develop economically through use of online platforms.
