Mohale’s Hoek, August.18 — About 50 street vendors have on Friday embarked on a cleaning campaign around various streets in town.
In an interview with the Agency the District Environment Officer from the Ministry of Defence, National Security and Environment Relebohile Ramokoatsi noted that the interesting part about the issue is that vendors went an extra mile to buy refuse bags and gloves from their own money, as the Ministry could not afford to provide such material.
Ramokoatsi who expressed his satisfaction about the issue, highlighted that the Ministry is an overseer in environmental issue, and it’s role is to coordinate relevant stakeholders and ensure that the environment is conducive for human life
