Maseru, Aug. 19 — Although there is silence about COVID-19 from the authorities in the country and the World Health Organisation (WHO) has declared that it is no longer a global health emergency, the virus remains a concern.
This is according to some members of the public who stated that the effects of COVID-19 are harsh on the economy. They indicated that the poor are hit hard as prizes of fuel, food and other essential needs keep on rising each day.
Speaking in an interview with Mrs. Malintle Sello she stated that before COVID-19 and during the lockdowns imposed to control the spread of the virus she was able to meet almost all of her family’s daily needs.
