DISTRICT’S PREPAREDNESS FOR EL NIÑO DISCUSSED

Botha-Bothe, August 30th — The District Disaster Management Team convened today to assess the readiness of various ministries and departments for the upcoming El Niño phenomenon, expected to affect the region from October 2023 to March 2024.

The Department of Meteorology has forecasted El Niño weather conditions for this year, signifying higher temperatures that may lead to drought conditions
