MATEKANE, RAMAPHOSA ACKNOWLEDGE DELIBERATIONS 

Maseru, Sept.29—-The Prime Minister of Lesotho Mr. Samuel Matekane together with the President of South Africa Mr. Cyril Ramaphosa have acknowledged deliberations made during the Inaugural session of the Lesotho-South Africa Bi-National Commission (BNC) which was held in Pretoria. 

In his remarks, Mr. Matekane expressed hope that the decisions reached will go a long way in uplifting the lives of the ordinary citizens and give them hope for a better life and livelihoods. He stated that he is glad in the manner in which Lesotho and South Africa progressively engaged on a number of areas of mutual concern, particularly on security and cross-border crimes. 

He indicated that he welcomes discussions intended to eventually come up with Lesotho-South Africa specific migration model in terms of better management of migration between the two countries in line with the special relationship and the unique geographic location of Lesotho. He expressed that they are delighted that there were discussions on some of the daily issues of concern around migration, study and work permits for the citizens. He added that they hope the remaining issues will be resolved in the coming months.
