Berea, Sept 29—Minister of Local Government and Chieftainship Affairs, Home Affairs and Police and also Teyateyaneng Member of Parliament (MP) Mr. Lebona Lephema was among the voters who casted their votes at Assumption Primary school voting station where he also emphasized the importance of voting.
Mr. Lephema said Community Councilors play a critical role in communities of influencing development activities.
Mr. Lephema further said having Community Councilors in place also has a contribution in development as they are working closely to the community members and they know their challenges as opposed to the central government.
He highlighted that they are working round the clock as the central government to empower local councils through decentralisation of services.
