Maseru, Sept 29. – At 10:55am today, local government election day, the Minister of Information, Communications, Science, Technology and Innovation (MICSTI) made her vote at MMC 07 – Ha Thetsane.
According to Minister Moorosi, who is also a Member of Parliament for Thetsane Constituency, the need to have Community Councelors who would work hand in glove with Parliamentarians to ensure delivery of services at the community level is key despite ones political party.
Meanwhile, women interviewed within MMC have demonstrated their desire to ensure that women take leading seats in an attempts to empower and motivate them.
One of them, Mrs. ‘Mamots’elisi Liphapang of Lesia 2 aged 63 mentioned that she last voted in 1993, expressing hope that a woman Councelor she has voted for today will understand the needs of her community better that include access to clean water among others.
