Berea, Dec. 12 — In a bid to strive towards achieving a common goal, the Regeneration of Landscapes and Livelihoods project in Berea district has united different stakeholders in natural resources and land management with the aim to develop a district plan.
Speaking at the meeting held at District Administrators boardroom on Tuesday, Project Field Officer Mapita Morapeli said since it was introduced, they established the District Project Implementing Team (DPIT), but they have been using the plans which were encompassed to the project, and therefore they saw a need to develop a district plan to enable them to take a step forward in implementing the project by next year.
Mrs. Morapeli said among the things on the pipeline prior to the project implementation includes coalition building of service providers whereby the intention is to capacitate community groups which use natural resources which among other includes herders groups, grazing association, nutrition clubs, farmers association and others.
