Mohale’s Hoek, Jan.17 — Chief Magistrate Manyathela Kolobe has on Wednesday slapped Makalo Lekholoa from Thaba-Sephara in Ketane with 15 years imprisonment without an option of fine, after finding him guilty of raping a 15-year-old girl in 2015.
Evidence before the court shows that Lekholoa, who is a neighbour to the victim’s uncle, had on several occasions called the victim to his house in the absence of the uncle and raped her, until she became pregnant.
The victim had previously informed the court that she could not talk to anyone about the incident as Lekholoa had threatened to kill her, and that she could not afford to jeopardize the latter’s good relations with her uncle. . .
