MINISTER ADVOCATES FOR ENVIRONMENTAL LAW REFORM 

Botha-Bothe, Jan 12 –In the wake of today’s cleaning campaign, the Minister of Public Works and Transport, Mr. Matjato Moteane, emphasized the need to review environmental laws to ensure a clean environment and enhance public awareness of their roles in maintaining cleanliness.

Addressing a gathering following the cleaning of Botha-Bothe town by government officials, Mr. Moteane highlighted ongoing challenges in waste management, stressing the importance of strengthening laws that regulate the use of plastic on designated days.

“These laws will assist us in managing plastic usage and preventing undue waste. Plastic can persist on the ground for decades, emphasizing the need for strict regulations on its use and disposal,” said Mr. Moteane. . .
