Maseru, Aug. 01 — Archbishop Gerard Tlali Lerotholi OMI says for Lesotho to see progress, the government and all its development partners must do away with the culture of holding events where people will be served food and drinks with no implementation of planned activities. This he said during the launch of Project-Re whose aim is to inspire and lead Basotho to re-connect with founding values again, reunite as people and become new Basotho and Lesotho.
He said the culture of hosting events, serving food and drinks must be cut, and that little amount should be used to cater for some other needs, adding that a lot of money is spent on unnecessary events while there are crucial matters that are of importance that can be attended to, in order to touch people’s lives.
