Maseru, Mar. 17 — In a collaborative effort to ensure safety and security of village leader elections in Mozambique, the Lesotho contingent, alongside their counterparts from Tanzania, played a crucial role in providing security escort during the recent elections in Chicuacia Nova, located in the Nangade district.
The elections, which took place on Thursday marked a significant milestone in the democratic process of the region.
Under the umbrella of the Southern African Development Community (SADC) Mission in Mozambique (SAMIM), the joint efforts of the Lesotho and Tanzanian contingents aimed to facilitate a peaceful and orderly electoral process.
