56 GIRLS RECEIVE SANITARY PADS

Leribe, Oct. 12  — About 56 girls of St. Saviours High School at Hlotse in Leribe were given sanitary pads by Lesotho Red Cross Society, The Vibe and Iconics Pty onWednesday.

Speaking at the event on behalf of Lesotho Red Cross Society Ms. Refiloe Ramokebe said the event was in celebration of International Day for the Girl Child.

She explained that about 112 packets of sanitary pads were distributed to help girls during their menstrual cycle and maintain hygiene.

Ramokebe said the pads were given to all the girls already going for their periods.

She highlighted that the school was picked randomly and they are planning to go to all the schools around Hlotse.
