LEFA HEADACHE PRIOR TO LIKUENA WORLD CUP QUALIFIERS

Maseru, Oct. 12 — The Lesotho Football Association (LeFA) is currently faced with a financial headache prior to the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers where it will face the Super Eagles of Nigeria away before hosting Benin at home next month.

LeFA Secretary General, Mr. Mokhosi Mohapi told the Agency on Thursday that he is busy playing around with figures as he tries to draw the budget for the Likuena trips to West Africa for the away opening FIFA World Cup qualifier in Nigeria.

He explained that LeFA’S woes of hosting home games in a foreign land will continue even during the FIFA World Cup qualifiers since Setsoto Stadium remains suspended for hosting any FIFA matches for not meeting international standards.
