Ex Offenders Association celebrates the international women’s day

Maseru, Mar. 8 — Crime, Prevention, Rehabilitation , Reintegration of Ex Offenders Association celebrates the international women’s day and offers gifts to offender`s children. 

The Founder of CRROA, Mr. Nkalimeng Mothobi said their aim is to celebrate international women’s rights with the offenders to bring back their confidence and to make them feel appreciated.

Mr. Mothobi added that they remembered that there are women with children so as CRROA they decided  to meet their needs  and also to help them with the challenges  they come across when raising a child.

He concluded by saying their main goal is to change the way they operate when working towards the issues of the offenders.

A Member of CRROA Mrs. Nthatisi Sello, who was speaking on behalf of women said the international women day was first celebrated in 2009. She said women should know that they are important and that is why it is celebrated.

Mrs. Sello added that women should learn to work together and  they need to change their lives for the better. She also said women have power to change the world, so counselling starts within them and being in prison doesn’t mean it’s the end of the world.

She concluded by saying women should remember that they are important  and spread love to others.

One of the Women’s offenders thanked CRROA for  the support they are giving them and they are very humbled about their good job.

Finance and Administration Manager, Mr. Chaka they like working with these vulnerable sections( correctional services).

Senior Superintendent Mofolo who was speaking on behalf of Women’s Correctional Manager service thanked CRROA for the good job they did and said they should continue doing the good work. 

CRROA works towards a crime free society through the intensive rehabilitation of victims.
