Qacha’s Nek, Nov.24 — Detective Sub Inspector Thabo Setenane, Qacha’s Nek Police Station Criminal Investigation Division (CID) Manager, says ‘Makaliseng Raliqo’s upper body of the skeletal remains inclusive of the skull were missing during the exhumation and reburial of her corpse.
The exhumation follows a report they received from the Headman of Ha-Mokhele, Ha Rapase that her four-year grave was tampered with by an unidentified assailant seemingly during the night of November 14, 2023.
Speaking to the Agency, he said on November 18, a follow up patrol team went to the scene and confirmed the reported incident.
It was then that they sought a court order and permit from the district’s magistrate court and environmental health to dig up the grave which was reported to be violated. . .
