LESOTHO WELCOMES 91st COHORT OF PEACE CORPS

Maseru, Dec.13 — At least 37 volunteers of the 91st Cohort of the Peace corps were sworn in in an event held in Maseru, Ha Marakabei on Wednesday. 

During this swearing in, the Queen ‘Masenate Seeiso said that this event signifies the great partnership between Lesotho and the United States of America which needs to be celebrated as it signifies warm friendship.

She stated that this group will dedicate their life to Lesotho and Basotho to help them manage their everyday challenges in the fields of health and education.

Queen ‘Masenate said to the volunteers that this will be a journey of challenges to them which she said the challenges must be used as opportunities to help them grow.

While administering the Oath of the Volunteers, the Ambassador of the United States of America to Lesotho Ambassador Maria Brewer said that the swearing in of the volunteers signifies tangible evidence of the good partnership between the two countries.

She mentioned that the volunteers will be placed in the ten districts of Lesotho being placed in the fields of health and education. . .
