MASERU – The Minister of Information, Communications, Science, Technology and Innovation (MICSTI) says, government has found it worthy for draft the Animal Production, Health and Welfare Bill.
Ms. Nthati Moorosi said this on behalf of Cabinet, this when briefing the nation through media about government’s decisions at LNBS premises on Wednesday.
She explained that the Ministry of Agriculture, Food Security and Nutrition has been given a mandate to draft the Bill in order to ensure animal protection and their welfare amongst others.
Meanwhile, she mentioned that even though Lesotho is not experiencing food and mouth disease within animals, the government is doing all it can possibly do after seeing that Mokhotlong is prone to encounter the diseases from South Africa…
